EDINBURGH
Basically we wanted to do the Ironman 70.3 in Edinburgh, already signed up as a relay team but...our bike girl resigned and we couldn't replace her. Airplane tickets have already been paid and Edinburgh has always been a part of the world where we wanted to go. We had a lucky car rental deal and taking a road trip along the Aberdeenshire shore was the best thing we could have done. The landscape and the atmosphere were stunning, needless to say that sunset light really got me. We slept in old castles that were renovated into sweet hotels, walked the windy beaches almost alone, had fish´n chips in little harbor villages and enjoyed the atmosphere on the cliffs when the sun set. Ohhh, and I forgot those really good 3 raspberry gin tonics I had in a row one night in Edinburgh....
